اكتفى الجهاز الفني بخضوع اللاعبين لتدريبات استشفائية خفيفة بالجيم، ضمن البرنامج التدريبي عقب مباراة البنزرتي التونسي التي خاضها الفريق أمس.
كان الأهلي قد حقق الفوز على البنزرتي بخمسة أهداف دون مقابل في المباراة الودية الثانية بمعسكر الإعداد، بعدما تغلب في المباراة السابقة على الملعب التونسي وديا بأربعة أهداف مقابل هدف.
ويستعد النادي الأهلي، للموسم الجديد 2025-2026، الذي يستهله ببطولة الدوري التي تنطلق في شهر أغسطس المقبل.

It was a night to be proud of for United’s esteemed Carrington Academy, with Mainoo and Garnacho, two of the more recent graduates, thriving in Bucharest. Mainoo was arguably the player of the match, given his key contributions as a number 10.
His statistics from Sofascore at full-time show just how well the 19-year-old performed against FCSB. Mainoo created three chances, completed three out of four dribbles and won six duels. It was a fantastic all-round performance from the Red Devils midfielder.
However, his goal would not have been possible without Garnacho. The fact they have played together for so many years shone through for United’s second. The academy pair played a clever one-two, with the move well finished off by Mainoo, meeting Garnacho’s low cross to fire home.
Tyrone Marshall, a journalist for The Manchester Evening News, was complimentary of the Argentine winger. He gave him a 7/10 for his performance and described his efforts as a ‘lively cameo’, continuing his good performances.
Mainoo and Garnacho really stood out for the Red Devils, although there were a few players who struggled, including defender Tyrell Malacia.

It was a tough night for Malacia, who was taken off by Amorim at halftime – the fourth time that has happened under the new manager.
He struggled defensively, and although he made one good cross which United failed to capitalise on, he seemed “so far out of his depth”, according to Red Devils content creator Mark Goldbridge.
Indeed, the stats suggest the Dutchman struggled in Bucharest. Not only did he pick up an early yellow card, but the 25-year-old lost possession four times, completed just 76% of his passes and failed to create a chance for his teammates.

Marshall also seemed to notice how tough going it was for the Netherlands international. He gave Malacia a 4/10, noting that he ‘invited pressure with a poor back pass’ and is still ‘struggling to find his form after injury’.
With just days remaining of the January transfer window, there is no guarantee that Malacia will stay at Old Trafford. United are set to sign Jeremy Dorgu from Lecce, and with Luke Shaw’s imminent return from injury, competition for places will be tough at left wing-back.

According to a recent report from The Mail, Malacia is a target for Real Betis on loan, who just signed Antony on a temporary deal from United, too. They are not the only club eyeing a move, with Scottish giants Celtic also interested.
With his future up in the air and so much competition at left wing-back, it will be interesting to see if Malacia stays at Old Trafford. Perhaps there is not much of a future for him at the club, with it not out of the question that he has played his final game for the club.

Usman Khawaja walked up the dressing-room stairs unbeaten for the second straight evening at Edgbaston, 122 runs better off than he had been the night before. England hoped four overs would be enough to dislodge Khawaja on Friday, declaring in time for a crack at him with the new ball; 24 hours later, he had proved himself immovable.Khawaja was the nearly man of Australian cricket for much of his career, playing 93 times for his country before his 34th birthday without ever feeling like a permanent fixture in the side. His technique and temperament were called into question, and after three years out of international cricket, it seemed he had served his time.But in the Birmingham sunshine, Khawaja cut Ben Stokes for four and raced down the pitch to celebrate his seventh Test hundred since his recall 18 months ago. Since the start of 2023, he has scored hundreds in Australia, India and now, for the first time in his career, England.On a slow, dry pitch, Khawaja and Australia scored at a different tempo to the one England had set on the first day. They scored at barely two-thirds of the rate of England’s first innings, yet with Khawaja’s innings – littered with crisp pulls and handsome drives – ensured that they trailed by only 82 at stumps.It took Australia 24 balls to add to their overnight 14 for 0, absorbing more maidens in the first three overs of the day than England had done in their entire first innings. Khawaja pulled and flicked Stuart Broad and James Anderson for boundaries – he pulled and flicked his way through the day – but it was Broad who brought the morning to life.The first ball of his sixth over was a wide inswinger dangled outside off stump, but David Warner took the bait. He threw his hands at the ball, then his head back: his back leg collapsed as he shaped to thump Broad through the covers, and a thick inside edge deflected the ball into the top of his leg stump.It was the 15th time that Broad had dismissed Warner, but he celebrated as though it was the first, racing away towards the Hollies Stand with his fists clenched so hard that the veins in his neck throbbed. As Marnus Labuschagne asked a policeman to move from his perch next to the sightscreen, Broad sensed something was brewing.Raising his hand and whirling his finger, he geed up the crowd at the top of his mark. Coming from wide on the crease, he angled an outswinger into him, and Labuschagne could not resist driving away from his body. Jonny Bairstow tumbled low to his right, taking the catch one-handed, and Australia were 29 for 2.The hat-trick ball flew harmlessly past Steven Smith’s thigh pad as he shouldered arms with a flourish, and Smith dug in resolutely against whatever Ben Stokes threw at him – including an over of gentle medium pace from Harry Brook inside the first hour. Moeen started to leak runs, but Stokes stubbornly refused to take him off, or to push the field back.Khawaja took 106 balls to reach his half-century, while Head got there in 60, cutting an out-of-sorts Ollie Robinson away behind square. He didn’t score another run, skipping down the pitch and miscuing Moeen to short midwicket; Moeen pointed to Stokes at mid-off as he turned away in celebration.Moeen should have had two wickets in three balls, beating Cameron Green as he charged out of his crease. Instead, an unsighted Bairstow missed the stumping chance and Green added 72 with Khawaja for the fifth wicket in a stand that spanned the tea interval.The best ball of the day accounted for Green on 38, as Moeen flighted an offbreak wide outside off. It drifted away a touch, then spun back sharply from a good length to beat Green – lunging forwards as though stepping on an insect – on the inside edge and peg back his leg stump.Yet England failed to take another wicket, Khawaja and Alex Carey adding an unbroken 91 for the sixth wicket. Carey had a life on 26, prodding forwards to Joe Root only for Bairstow to put the chance down, an edge past Root at slip off Moeen brought him to 50. Khawaja, too, enjoyed a reprieve. Broad took the second new ball and found some nip off the seam to knock off stump back.But the third umpire noticed that Broad had overstepped, and he survived until the close once again. The crowd had started to filter out by the time he walked off with a beaming smile, at the end of a day that will be remembered as Usman Khawaja’s.

“The 6’5 Dutch under 21s international has had a great season for Strasbourg in France and has 7 goals in 13 league appearances. The club started initial enquiries about 4 weeks ago, but it was considered a difficult transfer to complete.

“His playing style has been likened to Michail Antonio’s, and he is seen as a good longer-term successor to him. Injuries have been a bit of a concern during his career and these would need further exploration via the medical should we chose to go ahead with it.”
The credible club source also says that West Ham’s recent appointment of Kyle Macauley as a transfer chief from Chelsea has delayed any serious movement for players, as Potter is keen to acquire his input.
“Macauley’s appointment has been on the cards since Potter’s appointment and this does explain why there has been little movement so far,” stated Ex again.
“With many of Steidten’s suggestions not being given approval as Potter wanted the input from Macauley. Having already been linked with [Kiernan] Dewsbury-Hall, although he started Chelsea’s game yesterday, and Carney Chukwuemeka, who wasn’t in the squad, these players may also further develop.”
West Ham’s manager is apparently very keen on exploring loan deals for Chukwuemeka and Dewsbury-Hall, but Chelsea’s fringe duo are not the only midfielders on their radar heading into the final stretch of this January window.
West Ham agree deal to sign Ezechiel Banzuzi from OH Leuven
According to Sky, West Ham are closing in on the signing of OH Leuven midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi.
The Netherlands Under-21 international has impressed in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, seemingly catching the eyes of West Ham’s scouting team. Banzuzi boasts two goals and five assists from 23 appearances in all competitions, with West Ham now apparently reaching an agreement for the 19-year-old.
“West Ham have agreed a deal with the Belgian club OH Leuven to sign midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi,” said the broadcaster.
“The agreement is for £10 million up front plus £3 million in potential add-ons. Banzuzi due to fly for a medical in the next 24 hours. This one is on, and it should be completed relatively soon.”
Interestingly, some Belgian media sources have since denied that Banzuzi is on his way to West Ham, so it will be interesting to see how this develops, and it shows how no transfer is officially complete until the player signs on the dotted line.

Revenge was sweet for Somerset as seamers Craig Overton and Matt Henry led them to a crushing eight-wicket Vitality Blast victory over reigning champions Hampshire Hawks at sun-drenched Taunton.Beaten in last season’s semi-finals by the same opponents, the hosts dominated from the start after winning the toss, Overton claiming 3 for 8 from four overs and Henry 2 for 19 from three to leave the Hawks 27 for 5.The Blast title holders never recovered and were bowled out for 74, their lowest ever T20 total, in 16.1 overs, Ben Green taking 3 for 11 and Lewis Gregory 2 for 13, while Overton added four catches to his heroics with the ball.It was a ruthless display by the Somerset seamers, backed by some razor-sharp fielding. The emphasis may now be on Arsenal recruiting rather than selling, but with financial restrictions to comply with and the pressure of another Premier League title race, the Gunners may need every penny they can get in order to seal the deals to create a successful campaign.
1 Kieran Tierney Linked to: Celtic

If it wasn’t already clear that Kieran Tierney is not part of Arteta’s plans going forward, it was revealed the left-back’s contract will not be extended beyond the end of the season, when it is due to expire.
As such, the Douglas-born defender will be free to leave the Gunners permanently at the end of the season, though there are indications that a deal could be done even earlier.
Sky Sports reported that Celtic were looking to bring the 27-year-old back to Parkhead in January, exploring a pre-contract agreement and loan deal. It has since been claimed that a move back to Scotland for Tierney is close.
There are signs that the full-back is keen on a move back to Scotland given his comments about his former club when asked about a potential return on a podcast back in 2022, saying:
“I think when a player who loves the club leaves, there’s always that, ‘what if he comes back’, and you can’t rule anything out.
“I’m always going to love Celtic, I’m always going to support Celtic, so you never know in football.”
Tierney has enjoyed a brief run in the first team since recovering from injury, so he could be putting himself in the shop window ahead of a potential summer – or winter – move.
Arsenal’s recent injury woes even meant that the full-back was deployed at left-wing in the north London derby, so there may even be a small chance that Arteta finds value in keeping Tierney after all, though it does appear his Gunners days are running out.
2 Jakub Kiwior Linked to: Napoli
Speaking at the end of November, Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio suggested the Gunners would be open to sanctioning Jakub Kiwior’s departure this winter amid the defender’s links to Napoli, saying:
“Napoli have asked about Kiwior’s situation and now Arsenal are open to loaning him.
“Antonio Conte is wondering if he is good enough to play for Napoli because he is not playing for Arsenal, but they will definitely ask and try to loan him. Now is the time for him to go back to Italy because he has to play.”
More recently, however, reports have suggested that Arteta is keen to keep the Poland international as he values his versatility. That said, with the 24-year-old’s adviser pushing for a move this winter, an exit is seemingly still a possibility, and a loan move appears to be the most likely scenario.
3 Takehiro Tomiyasu Linked to: Napoli, Inter, Juventus
Much like Tierney, Tomiyasu’s persistent injury problems mean he has been unable to force his way into contention for a regular starting spot at the Emirates Stadium.
This season, the Japan international has been sidelined with a knee problem, limiting him to just six minutes of action in the Premier League, while he is thought to have been unhappy with his place in the squad for a considerable period of time.
Back in September, it was reported that the 26-year-old was “ready to leave” the Gunners amid interest from a host of Serie A clubs, namely Napoli, Inter and Juventus.
At the time, a fee of around £16.7m would have been enough for Arteta to sanction the defender’s departure, although it remains to be seen how much the interested parties are willing to offer in January.
4 Oleksandr Zinchenko Linked to: Inter, Borussia Dortmund
Arsenal could be set for a number of departures in the full-back department this January, as Zinchenko’s future at the club also remains in doubt.
Although the Ukrainian has suffered from a few injuries this season, he has found game time hard to come by even when fully fit, only starting a handful of Premier League games having fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.
Serie A clubs are keen on a number of Arsenal players, and Zinchenko is no different, with Inter said to be interested in signing the left-back. The Italian giants have set their sights on the 28-year-old due to his international experience and versatility, and there is a belief that a deal could be done for an accessible price due to his lack of prominence this season.
Reports in the January transfer window have since claimed that Zinchenko is now also wanted by Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga side have opened talks with the Arsenal player’s camp, with the Gunners open to a loan exit which includes an obligation to buy.
5 Jorginho Linked to Palmeiras, Flamengo
Jorginho arrived at the Emirates two years ago, but could be on his way out of the club in the January transfer window. The midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season, although the Gunners do have the option to extend that by a further 12 months, should they wish.
However, it appears as if a move to Brazil could be on the cards in 2025, with Palmeiras and Flamengo two clubs name-checked as potential destinations for Jorginho.
The 33-year-old’s agents have already held a meeting with Palmeiras, and have offered the Brasileirao side the chance to sign him, so that could be one to keep an eye on in 2025.
