The 24-year-old enjoyed a successful campaign under Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge last season, catching the eye of Postecoglou with his tenacious and relentless nature.

Unsurprisingly, with Gallagher being an English talent featuring in the Premier League, he would cost a pretty penny, with Chelsea holding out for £50m to part ways with their academy star.

However, in recent days, the club have been linked with another midfielder to try and complete the club’s midfield overhaul.

According to GIVEMESPORT, Spurs are interested in a move for 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Serie A outfit Atalanta.

The in-demand talent has made 36 appearances in the league this season, scoring on six occasions, helping the club finish fourth and securing a Champions League spot ahead of next campaign.

His excellent campaign in Italy hasn’t gone unnoticed, with fellow Premier League side Liverpool recently submitting a €45m (£38m) bid for his services whilst also still retaining an interest in bringing him to Anfield.

Why Ederson would be the perfect Gallagher alternative for Spurs

Whilst both stars are undoubtedly very talented and possess numerous talents that would improve Spurs’ midfield, when comparing the two there’s evidence that the Brazilian is a more complete player despite scoring fewer goals in all competitions than the current England international.

When analysing the duo’s stats on FBref, Ederson has showcased his excellent abilities on the ball, completing over six times more progressive passes – a figure that could allow the attacking players at Spurs to thrive further should the Atalanta star join the club.

The midfield “machine” as dubbed by writer Carlo Garganese, has also achieved a 27% higher tackle success rate and won 11% more aerial battles than the Chelsea star, fitting into Postecoglou’s relentless system perfectly.

Whilst they’re set to face huge competition from Liverpool for his signature, Spurs must work tirelessly to pursue a move for Ederson, with the Brazilian having all the quality to thrive in north London.

With Atalanta wanting £45m to part ways with their midfield dynamo, he provides a cheaper alternative to Gallagher, whilst also allowing the Lilywhites to sign a higher quality talent who’s ready-made for England’s top flight.

It may be a hefty sum, but it would allow Postecoglou to finally complete his midfield overhaul at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Liverpool are considered the favourites in the Premier League in the race to sign Bayern Munich sensation Joshua Kimmich, who is out of contract in Bavaria in one year.

The 29-year-old is currently starring for host nation Germany at the Euros but noise from the Allianz Arena suggests that fresh terms will not be agreed and he will be sold this summer, with Bayern considering a nominal sale of just €30m (£25m).

Hansi Flick's Barcelona have a vested interest and so too do a host of top English outfits, so Liverpool will need to move quickly if their intrigue is indeed serious.

What Joshua Kimmich would bring to Liverpool

Last summer, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho were sold to the Saudi Pro League after dismal, regressive campaigns. Jurgen Klopp needed to bolster with a top-class new no. 6 and after missing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea, settled for the shrewd £16m signing of Wataru Endo.

Endo, aged 31, has been an interesting addition to the Anfield clutch but is not the long-term solution to the holding midfield conundrum at Liverpool. Kimmich, while no longer a new kid on the block, would bring an elite range of passing and a sharp defensive skill set that truly could leave him in a promising position for illustrious success on English shores, a metronomic force to serve Slot's possession and progression-centric system.

His immense stretches of ground covered on a game-by-game basis have facilitated his rise to one of the leading European players of his position, with Julian Nagelsmann among those to have gushed over his "world-class" ability.

Such is his prowess, he could be the final piece of the puzzle at Liverpool, the missing link to ensure Slot's success. He could be Liverpool's own Declan Rice, or, even better, Liverpool's very own Rodri.

Rodri. Where to begin? Perhaps, aptly, from the end. وكان الزمالك قد تقدم بشكوى رسمية إلى المجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام ضد قناة النادي الأهلي وبرنامج “حارس الأهلي”، الذي يقدمه الإعلامي أحمد شوبير، بسبب تصريحاته الأخيرة التي طالب فيها رابطة الأندية بتوقيع عقوبات على جماهير القلعة البيضاء.

وأكد بيان المجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام أن الشكوى تستند إلى القانون رقم 180 لسنة 2018 ولائحة الضوابط والمعايير الإعلامية، حيث تمت إحالتها إلى لجنة الشكاوى لدراستها.

وكتب ميدو عبر حسابه على منصة “إكس”: “الزمالك سيتخذ كل الإجراءات القانونية الممكنة لردع أي شخص أو أي مؤسسة تحاول أن ترهب المسؤولين في اتحاد الكرة أو في رابطة الأندية أو لجنة المسابقات بشغب الجمهور”.

وأكمل: “ما حدث من بعض مدمني إثارة الفتنة لن يمر مرور الكرام، ونحن في دولة قانون، وكلنا ثقة في المسؤولين بأنهم لن يسمحوا لأي شخص بإعادتنا لأيام سوداء تؤذينا وتضررنا منها جميعًا”.

وأتم: “نريد أن يستمتع الجمهور المصري بحضور المباريات وبالمنافسة الشريفة بين الأندية، وأن يطمئن أولياء الأمور على أولادهم وبناتهم عند ذهابهم للمدرجات، وهذا لن يحدث إلا بمحاسبة مثيري الفتنة أيًا كان من يحتمون بهم!!”.

Paulo Sousa deve deixar Lisboa na noite desta quinta-feira e chegar ao Rio nas primeiras horas da manhã de sexta. Será no aeroporto em Portugal que o comandante de 51 anos receberá os livros sobre a história do Fla em mãos.

– A expectativa é a melhor possível. Para a gente, como Embaixada de Portugal, é excelente ter mais um treinador português no Flamengo. Isso aumenta o volume de torcedores nos jogos, a visibilidade, o que é ótimo pois tem muito brasileiro que ainda não conhece a gente. Temos certeza que será um ano extremamente cheio.

– Como torcedor, confesso que não via o nome como muito badalado no início, e, quando foi confirmado, foram surgindo várias análises e vídeos do estilo de jogo dele, e isso foi me animando, e a muita gente, como vi no Twitter, que é um termômetro. Pela comissão técnica dele, que é top, também. Isso é determinante para o Flamengo. “It’s a tough one. West Ham agree Wes Foderingham terms

According to Sky Sports’ Sheth on X, West Ham have agreed terms with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham after he departed Sheffield United. The soon-to-be free agent has agreed a two-year deal at the London Stadium, whereas Nathan Trott is set to secure a permanent Hammers exit to FC Copenhagen.

Foderingham, now 33 years of age, will officially become a free agent at the end of the month, but his exit from the Blades has already been confirmed and West Ham have seemingly made their move for the shot-stopper, who Jurgen Klopp hailed as "incredible" following a save last year.

The Englishman, as can be seen, will arrive with plenty of club experience for the likes of Swindon Town, Rangers and Sheffield United, although he has only played 30 times in the Premier League, conceding 79 times and keeping just one clean sheet.

You’d expect he’ll provide cover for Lopetegui, potentially being used in domestic cup competitions if needed, but with Trott departing, Foderingham could be seen as third choice behind 31-year-old Alphonse Areola and 39-year-old Lukasz Fabianski.
