Como tem lidado com o aspecto emocional nesse período? A saudade de trabalhar no campo, com bola.

Tento manter a cabeça tranquila, controlar a ansiedade ao máximo. Não pular etapas em prol de uma recuperação perfeita. Com toda certeza o meu maior desejo é voltar a atuar. Desde o dia que operei, não vejo a hora de retornar ao campo.

Esse período de recuperação tem trazido aprendizados a você?

– Sem dúvidas. É um período de bastante aprendizado. Tenho evoluído com tudo isso que estou passando. Daqui pra frente sei o quanto é cada vez mais necessário cuidar da minha condição física e focar ainda mais no meu trabalho.

After recovering from his groin injury, Shadab Khan – the Pakistan limited-overs vice-captain – has set his focus on reviving his bowling form as his primary objective. As for his batting, he wants to mould that part of his game as per the team’s demands, clear in his head that his role in the team is of a “bowling allrounder.”His bowling form has taken a hit for a few seasons now, but Shadab believes it was the pain from the injury that was having an adverse effect on him. In his first two years of international cricket that began in 2017, Shadab averaged 18.59, with an economy rate of 6.84 and 44 wickets in T20Is, but thereafter his last nine wickets – since October 2019 when Sri Lanka toured Pakistan – have come at an average of 42.33 and an economy rate of 8.46.”There were injuries, but now I am fully fit and putting a lot of hard work with the ball and I am expecting to get a better result,” Shadab said. “I still haven’t moved away from my role as a bowling allrounder. Bowling is crucial as I started my career in 2017 with the Champions Trophy, and my bowling was the highlight there. I am very much focused to have it back. Batting is a plus point and if my team is demanding something from me as a batsman, then it’s a good skill to have.”I know I wasn’t up to the mark and haven’t done well with the ball lately that is mainly because of the groin injury. My bowling action takes a lot of energy and causes pain and was directly affecting it. Batting is different and it wasn’t affected by my injury, so it gave an impression that I am into batting only. In the camp, he is understood to have bowled spells that are longer than four overs to regain confidence.”His primary job is to pick up wickets and win games for Pakistan,” Waqar said. “He is our premier cricketer and with the ball in hand, he can do wonders for the team. Fitness issues have been commonplace at Spurs since Solanke made the £65 million move from Bournemouth last year, and he hasn’t had a chance to showcase his worth to Frank just yet.

The 28-year-old finished 24/25 as Tottenham’s second-top goalscorer behind Brennan Johnson with 16 goals in all competitions, but a combination of knee, thigh and ankle problems limited his availability.

Interestingly, according to a report from Football Insider this week, Frank has already seen enough.

It is believed that Frank has been left unimpressed by Solanke and a January exit could be on the cards for him, as Tottenham’s manager decides that he wants a new striker to come in.

In the build up to the next transfer window, reports have suggested that Tottenham could bring Ivan Toney back to the Premier League on loan from Al-Ahli, with Frank’s ex-star at Brentford looking to battle his way back into Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.

Some media sources claim that Frank has personally contacted Toney about a temporary move to Spurs, but there are other options.

With his contract expiring in 2026, Spurs have also been touted as suitors for Juventus star Dušan Vlahović.

The 25-year-old, who reportedly earns a whopping £375,000-per-week in Turin, has managed to score at least 14 goals per season since his magnificent breakout campaign at Fiorentina in 2020/2021.

Vlahovic can be a big-game player as well, with strikes coming in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund and Man City over the last two seasons, as well as in crucial Serie A matches against the likes of Inter Milan.

On a free transfer or for a cut-price in January, Vlahovic could be a real coup, but he’ll almost certainly have to take a massive pay cut.

There is such an unruffled nature about him, and while he is far from the biggest, he uses great positional sense and intelligence to his advantage, being lauded by Stephen Warnock recently, who also talked about the idea of him joining Liverpool over United, which may not go down too well with Red Devils fans.

“Marc Guehi is a magnificent player. My concern for him is I hope he still gets that move to Liverpool. He deserves to play on the bigger stage, which is Champions League football. He has the ability to play at a club like Liverpool.”

With all due respect to Palace, next summer is the right time for Guehi to enjoy a new challenge at a bigger club, and if United were able to sign him, it would feel like a major coup.
